Voter Registration

U.S. citizens who will be outside the U.S. on election day should apply at least three to four months in advance for absentee ballots.  This may be done using a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) available at the consulate.  It is recommended that U.S. citizens complete an absentee ballot request yearly.

Voting assistance services of the Consular Section includes providing applications for voter registration, providing the FPCA for an absentee ballot request and mailing these forms to the United States for Presidential Elections.

For the most up to date information on voting and to complete a Federal Post card application over the internet, visit the Federal Voting Assistance Program web site.
