U.S. Embassy Donates Military Uniforms to Belize Defence Force (February 23, 2006)

On Thursday, February 23, U.S. Ambassador Robert J. Dieter handed over military uniforms and other supplies valued at over US$ 158,000 to the Belize Defence Force (BDF) Commander Brigadier General Lloyd Gillett.

Ambassador Dieter said, “It brings me special pleasure to donate these particular items today because they will be issued directly to the most essential element of Belize’s security – the BDF soldiers.”

The donation ceremony, which took place at Price Barracks in Ladyville, included the delivery of three containers filled with Battle Dress Uniforms, boots, rain gear, tents and camouflage nets.
