"Enduring Friendship" Delivers High-Tech Patrol Boats to Belize

On Wednesday, September 9, the Government of the United States of America through the Enduring Friendship Program of U.S. Southern Command will make a donation of patrol boats and trucks to the Belize Defence Force Special Boat Unit (SBU).

The effort is called Enduring Friendship and is a U.S. Southern Command program aimed at bolstering the region’s ability to counter transnational threats more effectively in territorial waters through a regional security network.

The Belize Defence Force SBU will receive two NOR-TECH Interceptor Fast Patrol Boats, two F-450 Ford Trucks, and a Maintenance Sustainment Package with a combined value of over BZ$3,658,800.

Media representatives are invited to the Official Handing-Over Ceremony on Wednesday, September 9 at Price Barracks in Ladyville. Media representatives are asked to arrive and set-up at 8:45 AM.
