The George Price Centre for Peace and Development announces “Principles of Democracy” poster exhibit September 8 to 19 (September 5, 2008)
The George Price Centre for Peace and Development will showcase a poster exhibit entitled “Principles of Democracy” September 8 – 19, courtesy of the U.S. Embassy in Belmopan.
U.S. Ambassador Robert J. Dieter notes, “This poster show coincides with the celebration of Belize’s 27th Anniversary of its Independence and highlights the democratic principles on which both our nations are founded”. The poster exhibit showcases principles such as the Rule of Law, Free and Fair Elections, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, Majority Rule and Minority Rights.
This exhibit takes place from September 8 to September 19, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the George Price Centre for Peace and Development in Belmopan. The general public is invited to visit.
