Foreign Service Officer Test

August 19, 2009

The Embassy of the United States of America hereby announces that applications for Foreign Service Officers (FSOs) are now being accepted by the Department of State.

The first step in becoming an FSO is to take the Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT), which will be offered between October 3 -10, 2009. The FSOT is offered worldwide at various locations.

This year, the FSOT will be offered in Belize at the U.S. Embassy in Belmopan.

FSOs are at the forefront of all U.S. Embassies, Consulates, and Diplomatic Missions around the world as well as in Washington, D.C. These Officers are instrumental in the formulation and implementation of the U.S. foreign policy.

If you are a U.S. citizen and interested in serving as an FSO, please visit the Department of State website for information on eligibility, application, registration, testing, and more career information.
