National Parks Speaker Visits Belize
National Parks Speaker James Bacon
From August 15 - 18, 2012, the U.S. Embassy hosted the visit of James Bacon, Outdoor Recreation Planner with the U.S. National Parks Service.
During his visit, James Bacon led a half-day seminar entitled “National Parks: Best Practices in Administration, Capacity Management, and as Tourist Destinations” for represenatives from forestry and tourism government agencies and envioronmental NGOs.
He also traveled around Belize to visit and meet with representatives from St. Herman's Blue Hole National Park in the Cayo district, and Port of Honduras Marine Reserve and Payne's Creek Reserve in the Toledo district.
