The U.S. Embassy's 8th Annual Made in the USA Exhibition was held August 14 and 15 at the Radisson Fort George Hotel and Marina in Belize City. The exhibition promoting American investments, products, and services in Belize was free to the general public and offered presentations on several investment topics.
The Embassy of the United States of America hosted Ambassador Vinai Thummalapally's first press conference for the media in Belize on October 27, 2009 at the U.S. Embassy Chancery in Belmopan.

Seven Belizeans Depart for the U.S. on Two Educational Exchange Programs On July 22, the U.S. Embassy announced that three Belizeans will be studying in Massachusetts as part of the five-week Study of the United States Institutions (SUSI) Student Leaders Program, while four others are preparing to depart on a year-long Community College Initiative program, both sponsored by the Embassy of the United States of America.
