From June 5 - 8, 2012, the U.S. Embassy offered training seminars entitled "Grants Writing and Fundraising Workshop".  The workshop was conducted by U.S. Speaker Susan Fox, Fundraising Consultant with Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).

One two-day workshop was held at the Radisson Fort George Hotel and Marina in Belize City and another at the George Price Centre for Peace and Development in Belmopan.  In total, over 75 participants from Belizean NGOs and government entities attended the workshops and commented on effectiveness of the speaker and the usefullness of the program.
