CARSI Donation

On June 5, the Embassy of the United States of America held a donation ceremony in Roger's Stadium in Belize City.  Over 17 vehicles were handed over to the Belize Police Department to be used for crime scene investigations, prisoner transport, mobile patrol, and community policing support.

The donation was made possible by the Central American Regional Security Initiative (CARSI).  Over the past year, CARSI has committed approximately 8 million U.S. dollars to law enforcement personnel in the areas of community policing, border security, prevantative initiatives, and capacity enhancement.
