Welcome to the U.S. Embassy’s Business Section! 

The Commercial Section of the Embassy has consolidated the information on this webpage for the benefit of American and Belizean private sector enterprises.  The Embassy is committed to the promotion of U.S. exports, the support of U.S. businesses opening or seeking to operate in Belize, and the growth and prosperity of Belize.  In September 2011 the Embassy was designated a Partner Post of the Department of Commerce (DOC) Office in San Salvador, which allows us to provide additional services to companies seeking to export from the United States or U.S. companies seeking to do business in Belize.  We look forward to further improving and opening doors for bilateral trade between the United States of America and Belize.  

President Obama, in his May 8, 2012, speech to the State University of New York at Albany, emphasized that the private sector is the true engine of job creation and that small businesses are the core of economic growth.  A thriving private sector benefits from a healthy partnership between government and business.  This is a principle that Belize and the United States have shared for generations.  Moreover, Belize and the United States have a truly remarkable and admirable partnership through external trade and a cooperative environment strengthened by deep ties of families, friendships, and shared values.
