U.S. Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation Grants Signed
Chargé d'Affaires, a.i., J.A. Diffily signed grants with two Belizean cultural institutions amounting to over BZ$ 200,000 for the Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation.
Mr. Diffily said, "I am proud of the United States' contribution to preserving sites in Belize with such historical value and look forward to watching these new projects develop over the next year."
This year, Belize was awarded BZ$ 106,800 for the Refurbishment of Government House/House of Culture, and BZ$ 121,600 for the Lamanai Mask Temple Conservation Project through the Institute of Archaeology.
Since 2005, Belize has received over BZ$ 500,000 through the Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation.
